  Question: HQ sold for $700 million, will this be announce on the JW site?

  so i can't stomach going to the jw site, much less spell the site completely.

  but, here is my question....do you think they will announce on the site that they sold the brooklyn building for $700 million?

  my bet is no!.

  The real reason so many witnesses end up here....

  why do so many witnesses end up coming to forums like this?.

  no doubt it is because of the fact that the society disallows any form of sincere questioning of teachings or doctrines or history etc.... if there was open discussion allowed - free of repercussions and punishment, then no one would feel stifled.

  if genuine concerns could be raised, then no one would feel smothered or unable to share thoughts... then in turn many would not leave.... but due to the high control, authoritarian culture the society has created, many feel trapped, and end up searching outside of official channels...and leaving the society.....

  hello, i have been lurking for a while, but discovered ttatt for about 8 months now.

  i am trying to fade out, problem is i have a big family i would lose if i got df'ed or da,'ed myself.

  my wife knows how i feel, and is not thrilled but i cant hide my feelings.

  brother richard (dick) morlan, a former co & do for many years, now lives in gadsden alabama, usa.

  he is 77 years old.

  i saw him at a recent assembly in dekalb county alabama and ask him about the prospects of him dying in this "system of things".. his reply was, "i am going to make it till armageddon, but if i should die before then, then the governing body is going to have to add another overlapping generation to another overlapping generations"!.

  I think eventually the Organization will differentiate 1914 from the Last Days to make another adjustment to the Generation teaching.

  Morlan is borderline on the genius/crazy stage when it comes to his humor. You have to listen to his every word, and sometimes you have to pause and say to yourself... what did he say? One time to told us a a Pioneer Meeting, he told us his best job was working on a Garbage Truck because he was able to "bring home good furniture, bicycles, etc.

  I believe he was serious about adding another generation to the teaching. Almost like he would be pissed about it if they did.

  Yes, was in Gadsden that Ray Franz was DF in. In a earlier post I mentioned that for years I had worked closely with 2 members of the Judicial Committee, (Dibble & French), on the Circuit and District, RBC level.

  Richard Morlan is attending the same congregation(East), that all the parties attended. In fact, the house he is living in is a Cousin of Gregerson.

  The CO/DO in the 80's that had moved to Gadsden to live and direct the JC was Willie Anderson. Willie, passed away about 15 years ago, his wife is still but, moved to Atlanta to be with their daughter 3 years ago. And boy did she have some stories to tell about the whole thing.
